Orange County Virtual School offers full-time enrollment options for students in grades K-12. Full-time OCVS students are registered as
public school students, and are required to take the FCAT/FSA, EOC and other district testing. A full time student can earn a standard Orange County High diploma.

In order to be accepted as a full-time student with Orange County Virtual School for the spring 2020-2021 school year, students must meet the following criteria:

Grades K-5 criteria:
  1. Reside in Orange County
  2. Children who are five years old on or before September 1, 2020 are eligible to start kindergarten in August 2020.
  3. To enter first grade, a child must be six years old on or before September 1 and must have successfully completed kindergarten (Florida Statute 1003.21).
  4. Have demonstrated success in the previous 2 years of school. Final report cards (If student is moving to 1st grade, then submit kindergarten final report card).
  5. State/District testing scores FCAT, FSA, FAIR, AIMS Webb, iReady, Other Assessments from the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school year. If student is entering Kindergarten, no test scores required.
Grades 6-12 criteria:
  1. Reside in Orange County
  2. Have demonstrated success in the previous semester courses
  3. Have attained grade level proficiency on at least one of the following standardized test in the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school year:
    1. FCAT/FSA Sunshine State Standards
    2. All End of Course Exams (EOC) that student has already taken
    3. Stanford Achievement Test (50th percentile or higher on the reading section)
    4. Iowa Test or Basic Skills (50th percentile or higher on the reading section)
    5. Grade level proficiency on an official standardized test administered by another public school system
Students who meet the requirements listed above must submit the online preregistration full-time student application.

Students currently enrolled in an OCPS school: Parent or Guardian only have to submit the online application. Students’ academic history is already in the data base for review. However, you will be contacted if additional information is needed.

Students currently enrolled in a Non-OCPS school: Parent or Guardian must submit students’ academic records (transcripts or report cards), any and all standardized test scores for review. Please submit by fax to 407-317-3407 within a week of application submission date. However, you will be contacted if additional information is needed.

All students that currently have an Individual Educational Plan (IEP), Educational Plan (EP), 504 accommodations plan must submit copies of current plan by fax to 407-317-3407 within a week of application submission date.


* Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment to the Orange County Virtual School. Students must meet criteria for full-time enrollment in order to be accepted.



In order to proceed, please read the following statements.
  • To the best of my knowledge, my child meets the criteria to become a full-time student in Orange County Virtual School.
  • I understand my child will participate in the FCAT/FSA, EOC and other required standardized assessments administered by Orange County Virtual School.
  • I understand my child will attend the mandatory orientation session with parent/guardian prior to being accepted for full-time enrollment by Orange County Virtual School.
